The magnetic wrist band is simple yet clever. Various models are available, but for all of them the goal is the same: to save you from looking for small bits of hardware when you’re performing any of a variety of handyman tasks. So unless you have someone standing around to hand you nails, nuts, and bolts, these magnetic wrist bands are the best way to improve your efficiency, reducing the need to bend down, reach or twist.
Make sure you purchase one that is big enough to fit your wrist — you don’t want it so tight that it compromises your circulation. You should wear the band an inch or so away from your wrist so that it doesn’t interfere with your movement.
These wrist bands do not, alas, prevent you from hitting your thumb with a hammer, so aim carefully.
