Living in San Francisco, where you can eat in a different restaurant every night of the year for a decade without trying them all, I wonder why we sometimes even bother with cooking for ourselves.  Regardless, last night was one of those nights.  Coming back from a long but beautiful hike in Marin, we decided to cook Indian food from scratch.  With exhaustion running high and my patience running low, I decided that we really needed to get ergonomic measuring spoons.

Now what makes a measuring spoon ergonomic?  Well, last night I would have only told you that I just wanted the darn thing to Fit. Into. The. Spice. Bottle!

After a good night’s sleep, I decided to look for a few more features, such as a spoon handle long enough to reach to the bottom of the spice bottle, a handle shaped to be comfortable and prevent slipping, as well as a spoon design that can easily balance on the counter top without tipping over.

Today, I enjoyed delicious leftover palak aloo and ordered a set of AMCO Advanced Performance Measuring Spice Spoons.
